The car put out 180hp on the wheels at the first dyno even i went to. that was a baseline output of this EJ20 motor.
I haven't got a chance to dyno since....so I am guessing 200hp at the wheels w/ current setup.. nothing fancy... just a very fun car to drive at the track events.

Cal, I'm serious about this.
I'm going to try to sell my car, and if I can sell it, I'll buy your car. (With extra money of course, as I wont be able to sell my car for 17k).
I'll let you know what's up.

I wish you had not decided on this Cal.
Are you going to stay in the Subie Family? I know that whoever owns that car will undoubtly be lucky.
Good Luck Cal,
Gary

Cal,
Why in the hell do you want a BMW? Those cars are crap...always broken down on the side of the highway. The M's fall under a different catergory, but come on man...
If you want super luxo...go Lexus of Infinity...
Just my $.02

Hahahaha.. I knew I would get flamed for buying BMW..
But thats OK! I need opinions..thats why this club is where I turn to. Andy, I hear you.. I thought about getting the IS300 but my buddy already got one in black slammed w/ tein CS coilovers and 18's SSRs..So I can't get the Lexus.. thought hard about the G35 sedan..but the taillights a bit funky (still not used to it yet..)
The G35 coupe is awesome.. IF the G35 sedan came w/ the Coupe's taillights, I would get one.
We will see.. perhaps I will get an EVO...
peace

The G35 coupe is really cool...really dope! I love Nissan!
The Lancer will be OK, but it will not be as dope as a JDM lancer. The front and rear LSD's and the 271 HP that will be included will be really cool, and easy to uncork...FMIC and all...One letdown is no AYC or ACD...but that can be overcome!
The specs are on the streets.
You will be dealing with Mitsu reliability, or the lack thereof!
I implore you to stay Japanese Calvin...you are letting me down by selling your sick **** ride, but if you sell your sick **** ride, and buy a kraut machine...then forgiveness is not an option!
Good luck man...
Andy

EVO isn't all that much bigger than the Impreza, nor is a BMW 3-series for that matter. If you want a bigger car, how about a Lexus GS? I'd of course get a Legacy, but that's just me. I'd at least get a 5 series Bimmer, though they still aren't that big.

I say a G35 coupe/Z350
, I know you said you want more of a family car
but if you are going to stay 4 doors, EVO, G35 Sedan, or M5, even a Legacy GT
sounds good. Too bad I can't afford your car right now
good luck on selling your car, or keeping it

I think one of those cars you mentioned is in a different class. Im talking about the M5. The Evo, G35 and the legacy are pretty comparable in price but c'mon, the M5 is a 75k$ car. Besides he said he MIGHT be able to afford the X5 and that is around 40 to 45k$.
