does anyone know where i can find the APR universal splitter support rods in stock near san francisco. or better yet, a cheaper alternative... i'm not sure what i would ask for at a hardware store.

got nailed by a tire blowout in front of me on saturday on the way to fairfield. avoided the car luckily, but i hit the tire squarely and it ripped out the plastic surrounding the bolts only in the center of my v-lim replica lip. the side mounts are fine but now the center of my lip is just hanging there and i got a nasty stare from an SFPD officer this morning.

this is the second time in 6 months a flat tire debris has destroyed front end pieces

 

oh good grief dude..........you're gonna have to drive in a bubble or something from now on. I'll try and find some support rods for you

get some 3m body molding+kit tape. even some duct tape underneath might work for a while.

those support braces are pretty ricey, imo.

 

i already tried the body molding tape when i got home on saturday... it worked for about a day. my other option is just a new lip... i'm ok with the slight rice.

 

lip cracked before i could get to it...

time for new lip... but in the mean time... i'm going to cut the middle and leave the side pieces a la 04/05 splitters and see how it looks... i'm sure i'll take it off in like a week..
