Friend backed into my car!

Welll... I needed a new paint job from the chipping anyways.
ITT: Best Auto body repair shop in Santa Rosa/Rohnert Park

So as the title says, my wrx got backed into by my friends truck. Hood, light, grill, bumper will most likely be needing to be replaced. The whole radiator unit was pushed back a bit, almost to the point were the upper radiator hose was hitting the timing belt. I bent it back a bit so there is like a cm of space, you think its ok to drive?

Anyways to my biggest concern(s)... where do you recommend in Santa Rosa/ Rohnert Park I take my car to get repaired that will do a very good job at a fair/cheap price. Based on my description/picture what are you guessing price would be around? I'm not trying to screw my friends insurance up but at the same time he should have been paying attention.

Poor wrx

This place kicks ***, they painted 2/3 of my car after a semi truck overloaded threw gravel all over my car. They have worked on 3 of my family's cars all turned out wonderful.

Call Louis at Zappelli Auto Body. They worked on my car after a pickup smashed into me. Fantastic work and the nicest people around.

Wouldn't take my car to anyone other than Mitch Gustafson, or Freeman Collision Center. Depends on which one is available to do the work lol. They're both the best of the best, and very busy.

Every place that others have said are good but you might want to just get paid out for the damage. Take it to the most expensive shop and get an estimate and give that to his insurance. It will be screwing his insurance over but he will be getting screwed by the insurance anyways anyways. Since rather the insurance pays you 2k at a ****ty shop or 5k a good one he gets just as screwed.

After that have them pay you out and buy what you want since a new hood painted is a lot more than a carbon fiber one new since you can get a CF hood and grill for 700$ new.

Also have LIC, FLI, or someone check your car out since their might be some damage you can't see and if you wait to long you'll be screwed.

Thanks for all the reply's. Anybody know about Cline Collision Center off Piner Road? Estimated me at around $4500 "see-able" damage. Then the claim's adjuster came out for the insurance and said who I had in mind. He sat in his car for an hour (talking with cline) and came back and said something about a double signed check and the money will go straight to the shop (Cline Collision) when it is done. He didn't give me an estimate right there and said I would get it later.

Honestly I just want my car back to normal (with a nice new paint job ). CF hood is too flashy unpainted for my taste (unless there was a way I could get them to order it and paint it- no hassle... can you do that???) The OEM hood was $599 on the estimate before paint.

Anyways, I don't care about money getting left over, I would rather have the check go right to the shop then the adjuster not quote me enough once they really dive deep and find a severe issue and come up short on cash.

Cliff Notes:
Need opinions on shop ordering a cf hood instead of OEM and painting that (possible?)/ Cline Collision Center reviews/ Check going right to shop (good idea?)???

knockoff CF hood is cheaper than OEM.

:]

edit: didn't read.

but yeah, it's gonna be a bit of hassle finding a paint shop that'd paint a hood for a decent price. i got a buddy that's also looking to get a hood painted. if your works out good, could you post up what the price was for painted hood w/ labor?

good luck getting your car all repaired
