I went to Craigslist and looked up random VINs to try this out. It works 8 out of 10 times. It's interesting to find out what some sellers didn't disclose.

Apparently my old WRX is still alive and kicking, with the girl I sold it to. but I never see it driving around, its not even 10 miles from here.

Cool. But this only seems to work on vehicles year 2006 and up for me. My older cars did not show up.

I tried it on a random 03 G35 sedan I found. It worked, but YMMV. Some work, some don't.
