Dear hYpE-R-29,
I am Max's girlfriend ( on his usrename) I work at a veterinary hospital, and I actually see kitties with this sound often! One kitty I met had horrible asthma, this can be because of where you live, or depending on what the kitty is allergic to, it may be a number of things. It may however, not be astma at all. My kitty makes a funny noise, not quit a pur, sort of a noise that we humans make when our noses are stuffed up, I think sometimes kitties have allergies, or congestion. I would defiantely take your kitty to get him or her checked out, but it sounds like its posing no immediate threat as of now. Usually an exam is only about 40 dollars, which isnt too expensive, I dontknow how much it is in your area though. Good luck with your kitty, and Im sure everything will be fine!

Thanks Max's GF with the great reply, but my kitty is fine, its CLSsmooth71's cat whose purring everytime. I agree also , should take the cat to the vet. Nice to know we have great people on the board who help on every situation
keep up the good work. ThanksRick
Good thing my relative is willing to take a female. I'm adopting a little one myself for sure this time (female of course). Can't resist. They are getting cuter and cuter! Hope rest are males. If not I might end up with zero cat to 6 little cats + the mother. Please let them be male male male male.
Yes, I'll take some pictures this week.

but, yeah, thanks for the helpful info, Max's gf. I will pass along your advice to have the kitten checked out at the vet. I suggested just returning him to the seller and exchanging for another kitten, but I think my sis is already attached even though it's only been 2 days. She named him, "Sinatra," cuz it has blue eyes.
if its still available, ill take the one on the top left

Here are stripe one and near black one (has some brown stripes). They could be both males. Not too sure about these two as much as those black ones above though.
Rest two are definitely females compare to the others.
