Just spotted this little nugget.
Apparently Google is taking on Amazon and has launched a same day delivery program in the Bay Area.
Sign up to be a tester, and get 6 months free delivery service... seems pretty sweet to me

Any store or any store in their program? Guessing limited stores during this testing phase. That doesn't take on Amazon really, because the things I order from Amazon are usually things that I can't easily get locally or are FAR cheaper from Amazon than local. If it costs me the same price local, then I can go get it myself
