Free portraits - Help me start a new career.
Seeing as the software industry is still sucking in a rather major way I've decided I might try a temporary career change doing something I've enjoyed for many years, photography. Before I can charge any money I need a portfolio first and that's where you folks come in...
I'm looking for a couple or a family (pets are included in that definition) that's looking to have some portraits done. Seeing as I don't have a collection of fancy (cheesey) backdrops that studios have, the backdrop would be provided by mother nature (who IMHO does a much better job). You can choose the location if you have something in mind or we can head down highway 1 and find a nice spot on the beach.
THE TERMS!!!!! ------
You get... a CD-ROM of the shoot for free after I complete post processing (color balance, white balance, level adjustments, touchups, removing blemishes (zits, moles that you don't like, that dreaded 3rd nipple on your forehead, etc.)). I can also produce prints on Canon paper of your choice up to 13"x19" for a small fee to cover materials expenses ($10 for an 8x10 an $15 for a 13x19).
I get... your permission to use these photos in my online and printed portfolios.
That's all. Get in touch with me if you're interested. I don't know how many responses I'm going to get so understand that if I get a lot of responses, I can't do everyone. I only need a few good shots for my portfolio. Send me email if you're interested (a quick (small... no larger than 640x480 jpeg less than 80k in size) snapshot of your family wouldn't hurt either in case I have to decide between a bunch of different people).
