Freaking FedEx

I'm so pissed.

I had my exhaust shipped out to me over a week ago. I go and find out it's gonna get here Sat...later than it should have. So I call and let them know the place will be shut down. They say they'll try again on Tuesday.

I talked to them yesterday..same deal. So I drove into SF today so i could take it home with me. Nothing.

So I call. They tell me 24/48 hours and they'll know.

So I wait a few hours and call again....in the meantime I check online again. It says it's in S.F. and the weight is 5 pounds. When it transit the weight was 53 pounds? WTF? I don't get it.

Anyways. I get a hold of someone with their head pulled out of their *** and she spends about 15 minutes calling around.

They can't freaking find it. It's in the computer as being scanned at the terminal in South SF. So I'm like..I'll come get it.

No....they can't freakin find it.

WTF?

These shipping companies have us by the ***** and they know it. IMO every package shipped should have free insurance. You're paying crazy money to get stuff shipped...like $20 for ground on a damn car cover and they can't insure it? I guarantee you that if they insured every package you'd have a lot less packages going "lost" or coming in damage.

Over the years I've had a fender shipped to me...came bent. A chin spoiler bent and cracked. Rejected both. Some CTR headlights for my civic back in the day..cracked. And now this. It's bull crap.

I'm so pissed right now. I'm about to drive over to the place on my way home and tell them to pull their heads out of their ***. Go out to their trunk and get my damn package for me.

That sucks man, I totally know what you're going through, though I've never had a problem with FedEx. It's always UPS that f0cks me up.

Hey, at least you're not the sex change guy... oh wait, wrong thread...

haaaaaaaa.

Yeah this is the first FedEx has screwed with me. I've had quite a few problems with UPS.

I'm going to stop by the place they said the package was scanned and see if my pissed off, blood shot and tired eyes can get more done than a phone call.

Thumbs up

Sorry to hear about your problem. If they haven't found it for you, E-mail me the tracking number and I can find out tomorrow. I work there at SSF station.
FedEx is much better than UPS in handling ,and I'm not saying that just because I work for them. I hear it from most of my customers.
Unfortunately the world is not perfect and bad things happen in the shipping business.

What position do u work for FedEx and can u help a fellow i-clubber out for a job

I worked as a temp driver helper for UPS during the Christmas season, and I can assure u that almost all shipping companies abuse their packages. Most of the time it is the package handlers (the guys that load up trucks) that mess things up and move packages carelessly or load them in the wrong trucks.

But some of the blame can also be pointed at the companies people are ordering from. Most of the time they don't pack their products with enough protection. I forget the rule, but there's suppose to be like a 3-5 foot safety margin for "accidental droppings" of packages. Meaning, that the package can be dropped from that height without any damage occuring to the product inside the box.

Also during the job, we usually had daily pickups from a guy selling performance parts. Most of his stuff (especially catback exhausts) weren't wrapped or protected in any way. They were inside their original box and jostled around everytime the box would move or was picked up. The used ones without boxes were usually bubble wrapped several times and taped up (which seemed much safer even though there was no box or packaging).

That's too bad. Had I known,we just had a hiring session last Saturday. I drive for FedEx,just like Edgar.

But that's where UPS and FedEx differ. We,the drivers, load our own trucks so maybe there's more "care" of the package involved. The only handlers we have are at the airport ramp and up in our stations unloading the cans that come from the ramp.
One Man Army: I hope you got your problem resolved in a good way. Good luck.

ummmmm....yeah.

That's why you NEVER send packages in their original boxes. I always wrap in brown wrap or put them into a secondary brown box for added protection.

I know a while back YEARS back I worked at a bike/ski shop and we were having issues with getting deliveries missing a snowboard here... a rim there. Stuff like that. Found out it was all stuff happening at a certain hub. Guys that worked there had been doing it for years. They'd catch on to what was going where and figure out what it was. And since it's coming from a supplier they refurnish with little to no questions asked on the single missing part here and there. They must have gotten 10 snowboards just from us alone.

As for my situation. Freaking bastards didn't even try to deliver it. Showing up unannounced helped. One lady tried to bull**** me. Another girl came over and looked at the computer and pulled me aways. Told me what really happened is they didn't try to deliever it. Her guess...said the driver was probably lazy and didn't want to deal with the weight. So they are sending it back to the shipper who is in PA. It's in Sacramento right now. It's crap. So now he or I are gonna have to pay shipping AGAIN and hope they don't do it again. And that's bull****. Cause I'm sure that thing cost $50 to ship.

I'm a bit pissed right now.

I have never had a problem with FedEx that wasn't billing related. They are always helpful and always ontime. Shoot once I dropped my shipping label in a crazy downpoor. It was SOAKED. I didn't have time to run back to the office and do another one and he didn't have anymore. He just looked at it..smoothed it out..and took it. Freakin saved my ***. Was a work deal with an AM delivery deadline.

So erked right now.

but shoot..you should here what a guy on my hotrod forums is dealing with. Paypal locked up his account with $900 on it. They damaged the parts and everything is all locked up. Paypal and UPS both haven't done ****.
