Freakin ***holes!

So i just bought my STI last week and today after some shopping at Safeway in Millbrae my trunk STI badge is missing..

Damm A-holes!...they left the sticky residue on it and thank gawd the paint was not scratched..

Any ideas on how to to get the residue off, so I can go buy a new STI badge.

garam garam panee

Use a blow drier to add some heat, goo gone (or bug/tar remover), and a lot of rags and elbow grease.

Buy some goo-gone and use a heat gun. Use some kind of micro-fiber cloth. You can also use WD40 or a hair dryer.

yeah, I used that 3M adhesive remover to take off some OLD residue from some pin stripes that ran down the side of my car. Nothing else seemed to work, but this stuff is GREAT! I had used goo gone, tried a razor, but this stuff was the best for me!

For the 3M - just soak soak soak the **** out of it and then get a PLASTIC scraper and firmly but CAREFULLY apply pressure to scrape off as much as you can.

You will probably end up with some scratches - it happens all the time - use Mother's Black Magic to quickly seal up your clearcoat.

here

make sure to get the gel stuff, from years of doing automotive graphics, its the best.

spray it on, rub it into the backing a bit with your fingers and wait a bit. Take a rough terry cloth towel and a bit of eblow grease and it will come right off.

If you are lazy, you can get yourself one of these

its a giant eraser. Just slap it on your favorite drill, put the speed on low and go to down. They are mainly used for removing pin striping, but will work for all types of decals.

be careful of the heat, its possible to overheat the paint and pull of the paint if you go to fast or stay on one spot for too long.

what kind of **** steals car badges?

If it was somebody with a WRX looking to pass off their car as an STI then that's just sad.
