Welcome to the internet, year old event is year old.

Also he really wasn't doing anything any of us have not done. Not too sure why he didn't just lift out and push the clutch in, that would have corrected the whole slide.

Lifting put him into the slide in the first place. Had he maintained throttle, he would have be fine.

Almost exactly a year ago.

Not that I'm a great driver by any stretch of the imagination, but glad I'm not the only one who thought that way...

Lift-off Oversteer Didn't know appropriate action when the car began to rotate.

Yea thats what I have read a lot of people mention with the forester chassis. The car is modified also, although Im not sure to what extent with the suspension and how dialed it is. I saw on instagram that they also participate in track events too. I just felt the reaction could have been a little more prepared or instinctive lol.

Lift-oversteer is a thing on everything except maybe RWD cars. Very prevalent with FWD. Noticeable with AWD. Difficult with RWD.

Extreme, intentional, lift-oversteer is also known as trailbraking. But most of the time, it's inexperience. Mostly because it is counter-intuitive.

It can be easily done in any platform (IE AP1 S2000, early version gen2 MR2s). Physics is physics. It may seem more noticeable in FWD/AWD cars because most people that setup a FWD/AWD with a loose setup to get the car to turn in. RWD cars are just better in the corners, which is why they have a more balance setup.

amazing video.

Besides bad driving, it seems like sticky tires also helped him get into trouble.
