Still would rather have an S401
If you think about it though, all that's different is, some body parts, suspension, and exhaust. I don't think it will come with a 6 Speed.

That's way better than the last version I saw that was basically a rebadged limited forester.
But it won't ever see the states. The XT Sport was a test for the forester sti and it was a MASSIVE flop. They had one on the lot in santa cruz for like 7 months. They just didn't sell. It's a hard price point.
Today market might be more accepting of it thanks to companies like Mercedes doing well with basically upscale foresters. But I just don't see it happening. Not in the U.S.
A. XT's are auto only. They'd have to put a 6 speed in it and I just don't see that system crossing over to this current platform coming from SOA.
B. They'd be too damned expensive. If they brought them over it would be just as a look at us kind of thing to draw attention to the XT line. Price point would have it right there with the mercedes and I don't know about you but I'd probably get the mercedes. Those things are sick as hell. My aunt has one. Really nice car.
C. Nothing cool from subaru gets to the U.S. without being made retarded.
D. The BRZ is in need of an STI extension before the fart around with the foresters.
E. The forester image is not lining up with the STI image right now. I own one. I would not buy an XT so why would I buy an STI?
They need to spend the time and money getting the BRZ STI a reality and making the STI/WRX worth this platform shift. Adding the FSTI is a distraction they don't need right now.
Mind you I'm currently looking for a 2005-2008 XT... LOL!

F. The legacy platform needs to come back. Ditching the Legacy GT wagon was a HUGE mistake. The outback is a giant off road vehicle. EDM/JDM get a much lower version without all the plastic **** that's really nice. We need that. With a manual trans.

The Legacy Wagon..... WHY THE **** IS IT NOT IN THE STATES ANYMORE??? Seriously. But at this point I would rather have import laws not in effect instead of newer shinier cars that don't last as long.

suppose to be. they've done a good job hiding the looks of it so who the heck knows. The roof line looks pretty much the same. So I think it's just new front sheet metal.
