I dont see why anyone even bothers using foglights. I trashed mine and put in the Hella 500s from Kragen for $70 and they are teh sweet.

But its more for people to see me when im flying around the corner of a 1.5 width road.

wish they made a cornering pattern.

I just replaced my stock ones with the yellow hella 500's I havent been able to drive at night with them yet cause I just wired them up yesterday

$77 shipped from ebay seller. If you do get them PM me and I'll give you some tips on installing them in the stock location. I'll also post up pictures relatively soon

yes, there is a film you can put over the stockers, but the stockers are crap, especially compared to the hellas

sweet, i was gonna wire them nicely, but i just ended up cutting my old foglight wires and connecting them to my Hellas. It was hella fast like 15 minutes for the first one and 5 minutes for the last...then add 30 minutes if your tools are scattered about the garage.

if you do do it my way, make sure your connections are good and e-taped tight, i had to dis-assemble one of mine to find the short.

I taped everything including the connector for the positive wire. did you use the wires that came with the lights to splice into the stock wires?

also, did you use any "brackets" or bolt them right to the plastic/metal that the original fogs were mounted on? I got some brackets from www.rallylights.com but they dont seem like they'll help, maybe stabilize the lights at little bit at the most

i have the 2.5 RS stock bumper, i drilled through and used their square headed bolt that goes through a 3 sided l_l shaped mount. That mount has teeth that dig into the lights teeth

Make sure you mount them so you can adjust them high enough, mine still hit the roadside a bit and it blinds you, but i left it that way so other cars can see the light on the ground around blind corners, and it still helps for the low speed stuff, mostly all i do.

The lights had a blue and black wire, just two out of each light.

one with fogs, one without. I still need to tweaking the aiming off them, but I dont exactly have a 25 foot area with a wall at one end.

and yes, my lights are for RHD cars and could probably use some re-aiming too, oops

I've got the Hella 500s as well, along with the Kartboy brackets. For wiring I snipped the connectors off my stockers and spliced them onto the Hellas. Now I can disconnect them like the stockers. Hurts the resale value on the stockers, but oh well.
