Foam R/C Plane madness...

So has anyone else checked out these "Aero-Ace" R/C planes? There's a store in the bay that has them really discounted, and we have a couple floors in the building we are in that are empty. It started out with 3 of us playing with them, but we have moved floors because every time we go down there are more people with them. The local store is cleaned out so it's time to start migrating..

Anyway, it's a tiny R/C plane that flies pretty nicely, and there are tons of mods you can do to them to make them cooler and faster - whatever you want. They came out with another model now that is even better too.

Check them out, wicked fun for a really low price... A great stressball for sure!

Regular price around $30, we found them for $18 including a powered glider thingy. There were so many people down there today I couldn't fly because of frequency conflicts. Some people have started modding controllers, using different wings and making landing gear. Nutty and wicked fun.

Never seen one at a hobby shop yet for some reason. Try Toys R Us and Wal-Mart type places. But yeah, can't beat it for the price.

those are more of a glider than an airplane...

should be fun indoors and not a lot of batts to power them...

No, this is a very simple but full function powered airplane. It turns left, right, climbs and dives. No control surfaces, but sheesh it's $18. Indoors is the way to go for sure. It glides like a brick.

I bought one a while back, my friend modded it for me, but I haven't picked it up yet.

They are really cool, I bought mine at Target for $25 I think.

They have 2 small motors (think pager vibrating motors) and a small li-po battery. You charge it with the controller and then you can fly for about 20 minutes or so.

I have one and my co-workers have a few, we fly them all the time in the office

tons of fun, I cannot recommend one more. Works a lot better indoors as the smallest of breeze will toss them around

I inserted a small screw to the front of the plane and it flew pretty well in slight-wind conditions.

If anyone here knows how to modify the frequency, please post it.
