Unhappy floated a valve i think

yea so earlier yesterday my dad tells me the car won't start. he tried 3 times and it started on the 4th. he said to watch out for it.

so i forget about what he says and i just drive normally. nothing happens all day. at night though, i did drive pretty hard, but nothing hard enough to break anything...or so i thought at least...

i was idling at a redlight. when it turned green i made a u turn. the car stalls out on me. i was like what?? i don't stall and if i do...it wouldn't be near the end of a u turn.

so i can't start up my car for 15-20 minutes. after a while it starts up i hear a loud squeaking noise. i thought it was from a belt or something. and the engine was shaking a lot more violently than the standard boxer rumble.

i managed to limp it into a parking lot and some friends came by, and while lightly revving in neutral to about 2500rpms. we could hear some sort of metal knocking sound.

so we limp it to my house. and by then at idle you can totally hear the ticking, which i've been told so far is the sound of piston hitting something it shouldn't cuz the valve is off.

my buddy dan whitt (some of you older guys may know him) says that hopefully its nothing more than a vlave spring and seat, and maybe the one piston. he says the clean oil and coolant seem to be good signs so i dunno yet until i open it.

i have extended warranty 6years/100,000miles. so i think i'll be taking it to a dealership. possibly santa cruz or carlsen.

do you think i'll have to take off my uppipe/downpipe and catback? if so i'll have to goto socal where my apt is, then come back up next week with some of the factory stuff and reinstall it.

car troubles suck

If I had to guess, your valves are fine (good news) but you spun a rod bearing (bad news)

reinstall the stock stuff as quickly as you can, and get the car to a dealership. Sounds like your bottom end is gone. Screw the dealership good....i would if possible...they rape us and deny warranties on stock cars....i say give it a shot.

i don't know exactly what is wrong, but from what i've been told from various people, that is the problem.

my car doesn't have a flashed ecu, and i have not played with boost or anything. just boltons and some suspension.

for quite a while (few thousands miles or so) i've noticed my car has been eating the oil. no leaks in my garage or driveway and it is burning like ridiculously fast. i dont think i've been lower than 1-2 quarts at any given time.

Down as much as two quarts?? That's bad if you do any sort of spirited driving.
