"Part IV: No wing, no bling in 15 hours"

Umm yeah, those gold wheels dont shout bling at all. I do like matte black, but Krylon a new STI. I guess if the paint got fubared up, um no. Flat black looks good on a beat up drift car in some cases. I guess I gotta go get that issue to see what they were thinking.

So I read the entire article, and my conclusion is:

SCC writers and the ones who put together that Flat Black Tissuepaper are complete a$$clowns.

Case in point. They spray painted the entire car because, "It would look bada$$." That has to be the stupidest reason in the world to destroy a perfectly good paint job on a $35k car. Why didn't they just spray flat black primer from a real paint gun and do a better job?

They also put the wrong rims on the car with the wrong offset. They put Sparco seats in it with no spacers to raise the seats, so no-one could see over the steering wheel. They didn't put the side skirts back on because they ripped up all of the hardware when taking them off. Amatuers. They put the Hypermax coilovers in and didn't mark the camber bolts, so there alignment is garbage.

I used to like reading SCC, and had a lot of respect for their buildups. But this one really pisses me off. They F'ed up a perfectly good STi for the sake of a magazine write up. Shoot, I would have traded them my SRT-4 straight across before they destroyed the STi

Of course they have to steal ideas from a played out TV show. They haven't made anything cool or worth watching on Monster Garage in a couple years.

I guess it would help SCC if they covered anything in that magazine that wasn't a HONDA. That's what most of their audience drives, anyways. But at least they could have put a real paint job or a different color than Ghetto Krylong BBQ Black paint. And at least they could have done their research on installs instead of half a$$ing most of the stuff they did in that build up. It's like they were mocking the Subaru enthusiasts by building this car up so crappily in this issue. I am still pissed off about it. Everytime I flip through the pages, I just shake my head and say "Why?"

Can anyone post some pics? I'm too lazy to go looking for them.
