Fix-it Ticket
I got pulled over by CHP last week on 101 north coming from morgan hill. I got cited for having a modified exhaust. I'm gonna fix it, but my question is...Do I only have to put my stock exhaust back on, or do I have to go all the way down (dp/mp/cb) ? lmk thanks!
btw, I just moved to san jose..

go to the bar station on yerba buena, if you get a peace officer to sing it off the lady in the counter or judge might give you a hard time, they want dp proof, ****en pigs
cited for noise? or emissions?
If noise, put your stock dp/up back on. You can leave your catback on if you're certain it will pass 95 dB.
Emissions, return everything to stock, or u could leave the catback (same as above).

I don't think I got cited for noise. All the CHP officer told me in exact words were, "you know I pulled you over for having a modified exhaust..?" he never mentioned anything about noise..
Definitely. I can't begin to count how many muscle cars i have seen that make unbearable amounts of noise. and don't ever see them pulled over. but i see integras and hondas getting fix it tickets for noise, very often. Just switch to stock cat-back, get it signed off by a cop, since the ticket is for noise, and then put the other exhaust back on... if you want.
