Mr Bush suffered slight injuries at the weekend when he fell from his mountain bike during a ride at his Texas ranch. A White House spokesman said the 57-year-old President scraped his chin, upper lip, both knees, his right hand and his nose.
The doctor who treated Bush, who was wearing a safety helmet and mouth guard, described the injuries as minor.
