A first happened today...

Be today. Late to a wedding in Chico, CA. Speeding down country roads... Bird flies into my hood scoop, couldn't stop to peel him off the inter cooler... Got to wedding to find the little guy was pretty much splattered on the TMIC.

Any similar stories with things flying into hood scoops?

Also a memorial for Bird Mc Birdington will be held tomorrow in San Ramon.

Lol nice. I had similar experience but it wasn't in the tmic. I was driving to Pleasanton taking the back road from Castro Valley when out of the corner of my eye I see a white ball ........ Then I focus a little bit more and I realize that there's a semi driving above me on 580 so I automatically freak out and prepare for my windshield to shatter cause I figured it was a rock the truck kicked up.......then the white ball hits with a very quite thump and I realize it was just bird........well actually the blood and guts on my windshield told me it was a bird. Hahaha lol

Ha! Yeah we get about 1 bird-in-intercooler story here a year. They just love us for some reason

BTW, I was a Gunners Mate on the Essex (LHD2) out of San Diego, where were you?

In 10 years I've never found anything other than bugs, rocks, and cigarettes in my hoodscoop.
