Firefox is memory leakish again recently!!!

I'm running 2.0.0.12. It prompted for this update a few days ago. The previous rev crashed several times so it'll be interesting to see if this version is any better. Previous revs last year were very solid.

why would you use it over ie7? the only reason to deal with the constant reboots caused by memory leaks is either tor button or some other plugin you cant do without.
Also, FF2 uses considerably more memory than ie7 when displaying the same page. just because its not microsoft doesn't mean its better. It used to be better when it was the only browser around with tabs, now it just has way too many security and memory management issues. I'm waiting for ff3 to try again, until then, only when I need tor.

ok, yeah, there's many other browsers, many deserving your attention. I use flock and opera too, but most people dont really need anything but ie. Its one of the more secure browsers out there, so why should the average user stray.
And just because is MS doesnt mean its ****, it just means that a comparable product of similar quality could have been developed on a much smaller budget, and most likely much faster. thats it. its free for the end user, so why should they care anyhow. if you need something to hate, try a political party, a sports team/region, big pharma, a neighbors dog, ect...
MS as far as my experience has been, makes products that are useful to me at a reasonable price, and sometimes free.

Who said anything about hate? Anyway I would definitely consider a program **** if a comparable product of similar or better quality could be developed on a smaller budget in less time. Oh did I mention that the program would also be more stable?
Yes, because Vista is cheap and super useful / reliable.

You usually dont even know what caused your os to seize up, you're just assuming is MSs fault. I use fedora core 3 for the majority of my work, a very stable build, and it freezes up at least once a week, so its not only windows that has issues. I agree that MS doesnt always make the best product out there, but it doesnt mean that all their products are ****. Or that their products consistently **** all over themselves. Complain all you want, but I havent seen a better alternative for the common man. linux is not for the common man, and mac os is a money pit.
