The body of 45-year-old Karthik Rajaram, a gun clutched in one hand, was found by officers who followed a trail of carnage through the home in a gated community in the Porter Ranch area of the San Fernando Valley.

His victims, most slain in their beds, were his wife, three sons and his mother-in-law."

I could believe this when I read it; I have heard of families of falling on tough times before, but never to such extend...

One of my ex-coworkers sent me this because the guy used to work for the same company I did couple years back...The article described that the guy was doing well for himself couple years back including a profitable sale of his house and investments, but gives no record of recent financial activity...

It said the guy lost his job couple months back...Even if you do not live above your means, if would not take long for things to spiral down considering responsibilities and costs of a six member family...Most financial planners will tell you to have rainy day savings of between 3 to 6 months worth. That what seemed happened to this guy. He probably had saving, but they were running out and it was becoming obvious he was not going to find another job anytime soon given the state of the economy...

 

how do people like these exist? how can they kill their own family just because of money?

I wonder if the father used to kill expensive/rare lizards for fun when he was 7 years old.

I was hoping that people would pick up on that because I know that sometimes people in BAIC have had too much Mary Jane and don't process things right away so I can't be vague at all.
