Ok so I FINALLY broke down and got a PS3. I have the 360 Elite and the Wii, but with GT5 and MGS4 I just HAD to pick one up.

Got the 80 gig with all the bells and whistles. Bought it off my friend with one controller and 6 games (only 3 were any good). Paid $300 for everything. I still had to go get Component cables and another controller so that was another $100 right there. Also I prepaid for GT5 that is out tomorrow. This game looks BEAUTIFUL!

I had one problem, when I hooked it up to my high def switch box that is hooked to my 56' high def tv, it had purple and green lines going up and down the screen, it was annoying as heck! So I hook it directly to the TV and bypass my switch box, same thing! So I try the RCA cables instead of the high def, SAME THING! So I take it into my bedroom to see if my 37' LCD screen works BAM no problems!

So it would seem it's my tv, so I try EVERY setting in the PS3 dashboard then I try every setting on my TV, still the same problem. So I get online and read, well I find out I have a ground loop, so I get an extra comp cable, break off the ground, and use that for my PS3 power cable and BAM the issue is fixed.

yea just prologue. Full version comes out later this year.. I hope.

 

yeah its just an extended demo. when the full version comes out im gonna buy my ps3.

that's a sweet deal you got there! speaking of which, i need to break down and get one too...same reasons. GT5 and MGS4.

i've got the jdm version had it for months... but it's just ehhh. like already said, an extended demo...

 

Burst my bubble, and here I thought it was the full version. Still I am stoked that I got this deal and MGS4 will be out soon and the Prolouge will keep me busy until the full version is out.

Anyone with a PS3 wanna recommend games? I traded in Tiger Woods '07, Fight Night Round 3, and Liar (which got 1 star out of 5! lol). I traded them in because they had a deal were you get 20% more when you trade in to reserve GTA4 which I paid for in full (can't wait and I got it for the 360 because I a more comfortable with that controller)

So the games I do have is Motor Storm, Virtua Fighter 5, and Resistance: Fall of Man. Any other must have games that are out, I wasn't really paying attention to the game lineup since I had the other 2 consoles. TIA.

 

Guess it's time to build my cockpit!

Whew I still have time. U had me thinking the full version comes out tomorrow.

 

I've got pedal/wheel, and a spare seat somewhere around here.... just need some 2x4s and some spare time.

 

Mario Kart comes out for the Wii next week. That should hold you over.
