nice shot location but I still don't get the need for 9 inch wheels when you're running 235 tires.... with them rolled that much you're not "buffering" any roads and you're not helping your handling either. Rotational mass.
LESS IS MORE
LESS IS MORE
When I change from my 18" Rotas (with bridgestone S03's) to my weekend autoX 17" forged enkei's (with advan neova's) I save nearly 10lbs per corner. It definately feels a lot different to drive.
It's a pity Scooby's don't like over a 245 without major wheelarch modifications.

I think stock BBS are 19.2 pounds.
The 17x9 torques are 20.4 I think so figure a shad more than that so I'd bet that 21 pounds is not to far off.
so you gain about a pound per wheel because you're keeping with the same tires.
So call it a toss up really. I just hate the stretched looks. I really like the car otherwise and I like the wheels but its not really necessary to run it like that. Looks like a car I'd see in watsonville. Like an 84 buick regal with 13 inch daytons. ALWAYS hated the look with a few exceptions.
I must say a few of the concave agressive fitments I've seen lately I haven't minded.
I just figure if you're only gonna run 235's you only need 7.5 inch wide wheels and you have much more camber options and it looks better and performs better not to mention you have some rim protection from the tires.
I mean run an 8 inch or an 8.5 and if you don't want to spend the dough on 235. Only reason I see to run 9 inch wheels is to run 255 tires. But that's just me. I've said the same thing at least 10 times recently.

I am rocking enough horses to spin all four so in my mind it's good. Plus I can TOTALLY feel a handling difference with this setup and it is a very positive one.
I still have plenty of buffer, if it was a 40 series or a 225/45 it wouldn't be up to my needs for the roads up here. Also the Toyo T1R's weighs less than the RE070's so the total wheel weight is the same, maybe a few oz's dif.

Thanks man. The town is SMOKEY! Believe it or not the coastal town of Eureka is filled with brown smoke since the fires started on the 20th of June from the lightning storm we had. It is BRUTAL inland but in Eureka it is still pretty bad. I do love me some Lost Coast, hot wings are my fav!
