Feeler: Thinking about selling my 03' 2.0 motor tranny swap

So i'm playing with the idea of v8 STi swap. That means that i would be selling my entire power line (i.e. motor, tranny, ecu, all the way to rear hubs... all of it).

Currently it is making 296.6whp @ 6840 with EQ tuning reflash just done on 5/22/09. I checked my compression and it is a health 140psi all the way around. About 90,XXX miles.

Perfect for a RS swap. Just seeing if there is an interest in it. IF not, i just may do my own RS

So what do you think? Any interest? Or friends you may know?

Definitely a good deal for the RS guys, but caution - you're not going to get very much because cheap WRX parts are so abundant. When I did my engine swap I was pretty shocked what I ended up getting so little for the various WRX components - and this was 4 years ago, when lots of RS guys were still upgrading to WRX stuff. Nowadays with WRX being <$10k and STI around $15k, there's less demand for upgrade parts.

I agree, cuz if it were to go, it's all going (pedals and all).

TY verc. I was thinking the same thing. But hopefully it's not as abundant anymore now <--- wishful thinking. But on a positive note, sti stuff/swaps are cheaper too..

If you want more power/performance I would recommend parting out the car, selling it and then buy a used STi. That way your platform is already set with a 6-MT, Brembos, 2.5L, etc..

It wont be the most original car but it would be so much easier and you'd get a much better bang/buck ratio.

My 2 cents.

not cost effective to do a motor+drivetrain swap, but bugeyes rule all!
