i never see anybody smile at our station lol

ups employees make double what we do, so technically they are the best in terms of pay. Same goes to DHL. Unions ftw.

as for volume, ups is still #1 in the US. Fedex comes 2nd lol

well, there must be a reason you are still with fedex. the grass is not always greener on the other side.

I used to. I quit that hellhole and will never go back. Want to kill some time? Go on Yelp and look up SF Kinko's reviews. Hilarious.

Last I heard, UPS people only made like $8/hr and at FedEx Freight, we started at $12! They do get part-time benfits though.

Either get one of the current employees to ship it for you OR get a photocopy of their dl and badge and then say you are doing it for them or are related, that always worked for me.

I'm not talking about package handlers. Fedex Freight gets paid $14 now

Top out at UPS is $32/hour for drivers and u make that within 3-4 years. They also get overtime/double time pay much more often than FedEx does (like Black Friday double time vs FedEx regular pay).

At our station, I think the highest paid driver made like $65k whereas a ups driver made $90k

I was with UPS. It's more stressful, but then again they pay more.

Fedex is easier, but pays less

(Not talking about starting pay)

who said I was happy where I work? lol

It's less stressful and easier than working at ups, but still stressful nonetheless.

Oh Marshall, you worry too much man ! That's why you never look happy at work. You let those managers push you around.
Seriously though, I do think FedEx has better/happier employees than UPS does, at least on the Express side. FedEx seems to have better customer service compared to UPS.I've heard a lot (bad) about UPS from my customers.
I could go on and on but the consumer can be the judge. I still think our service is better. You get what you pay for.I'm happy with my job, (not happy with management though) and that's why I'm still hanging around after 10 years.
You wonder why UPS isn't on this list:

Marshall, go transfer to SFO or NDB and maybe you'll be happier there.

that's what i am talking about. i am talking about my opinion as a consumer who deals with ups and hates their guts. they always make me angry when i am expecting a delivery from them. fedex is the best.

the biggest company will always have the most complaints about them. Yet time and time again, consumers still choose them. Same could be said for any sector really.
