Fast and Furious 6 Filming

This just showed up on the Santa Rosa Cycling Club chat list:

Saturday's century is on, weather permitting, but the route has been completely changed. Bill Oetinger and I were alerted by Bruce Hopfengardner that filming of Fast and Furious 6 was scheduled Saturday on 128 and 253, the heart of our route. I was finally able to speak with a CHIP officer out of the Ukiah office, who confirmed that 253 at Booneville will be closed to automobile traffic, to accommodate filming. They will allow large trucks to be escorted through, but she had no idea what would happen to a pack of cyclists. Further, she warned that traffic was going to be diverted to Mountain House, which was part of our route, and that traffic was expected to be heavy on that little road.

Considering that the movie is in "Post-production" I don't think they are filming anything...

Need for Speed (2014)

Looks like we need a thread title change, eh?

That MendoCo DoT info is also outlined in this article: Traffic Delays due to Filming in Mendocino County

Dreamworks Pictures will be filming “Need For Speed” a major motion picture, in Mendocino County from Monday April 1st thought Friday, April 12th. Several major roads will be affected during this time. Below is a schedule of expected traffic delays for this week. All delays are between 7 AM to 8 PM, are expected to be approximately 20 minutes unless otherwise noted and are subject to change due to the nature of live filming. It’s our understanding that filming will be happening at two locations at any given time.

well...

technically, they could. for example they need to remove a product placement, a 2nd or even a 3rd unit team can shoot a 30 second scene, which will be edited into the final "can".

until the movie is delivered (and these days with digital, it can be sent via the internet in the last second) to the movie theaters, they can do whatever they need to...
