^ you have a big tank I would throw about 2 gallons at least of e85, the numbers went down a bit, also drive the car hard before you do in to smog

So in other words, no change.

I'm lead to believe something is probably wrong with the car there's no reason a stock car should be having these issues. The consistency makes me think that the ECM is mis-adjusting for something. Perhaps a small vacuum leak, or a dirty MAF?

ill try to pump a little more in there before i retest, the number is going down so that's a good sign.

I recently just changed the intake filter and cleaned the MAF, maybe it's the oxygen sensor actually going out?

Would the cats last longer if your not actually using them but once a year for smog?
(as in, they last for 7 years of use)

I remember with my e36 m3 I had similar issues. All I ended up doing was driving around in really high rpms (4k-4500)for 30 miles, and I passed with flying colors. With BMW's you really need to get your cat/car really hot.

If it was cats you would have a post cat OBDII code. Just drive it hard and test it.

I just smogged my truck in AZ yesterday. 5 min test. CAI and power tuner installed, Passed total cost of $18. Then went to dmv and got my AZ lic plate, $200 for everything, Got the plate, title and reg all less then 5 mins. Including wait time.

California needs to come to AZ and take some lessons.
