If it was/is someone im cool with and they dont bug the hell out of me, ill add them. Then if weeks/months go by and THEY never said anything to me, ill delete them.
There are some ppl that I really dont care what they're doing or how they're doing, so i just ignore them from the get-go.
This guy i used to work with has added me like 5 times in the last 2 years
Dude doesnt get it
The last time he tried adding me i just ignored him

I really don't share anything too personal on my FB that I wouldn't want some people to know, so I am fine with anyone I have met.

I add them.. I would say I have met almost all on my fb I've only had maybe 4 or 5 people trying to add me that I have no clue who they are. I would also have to say I think 90% of my friends list are iclub peeps.

I only add people under certain criteria.
1) I've known them long enough to recognize them by face. Trust me on this, sometimes I forget names with faces a lot. I'm getting old....
2) I'm going to eventually see them around in the future more often due to mutual friends that I hang out with at the same places.

Zuckerberg said it best himself... privacy is dead.
Nearly all my friends have an account but I seem to be doing just fine without one. Imo, just make sure to hit up your close friends regularly and hang out and you won't need a fb.
Also I spend my weekdays designing/developing websites and editing video on my computer, I don't want another online activity taking up my time. Just started learning a powerful CMS this week, at this rate I could build my own social network for me and my friends.

"Why sure, I'd love to look at your gratuitously Photoshopped posters of your events every week and reposted 3-4 times a day." Some days, I can't even tell if it's a poster for a club or a car show. They both feature shiny things and half naked women.
*Yes, I'm aware I can just remove them off my feed. I do that all the time.

Another non-Facebook user here, never have to worry about unwanted friend requests

In real life grown adults don't walk around asking strangers to be friends, but if you don't accept it on Myface you're a dick? Unecessary internet drama.
If we're friends, I don't need to go to your page and comment on the picture of the giant burrito you ordered or add your 14 month old as a friend because you made a page for her. Real life is already complicated, we shouldn't be letting the internet making it more complicated by caring about who you should "add" or what comment to leave on their "wall".
