I do my own detailing, but having an Aspen White car makes it easy, since swirls don't show up. I've never had any of my cars professionally detailed, but I'd rather learn to do it myself. Check out www.autopia.org for some detailing know-how.

if i am lucky i wash my car once a month (yes it is MBP)

i dont' care as much about how it looks. I didn't buy a subaru because it looked pretty, I bought it to drive and get dirty.

i have however been thinking about getting a professional detail done. too many scratches and chips, its starting to get annoying.

davon (dan avon7) has a friend that details cars and what i have seen on davon's car he does a very good job and for a reasonable price as well

Once a month?? If I wash my car two or three times per year, I am doing well.

Freddie (1WRX2NV) used to offer to detail our cars if an appointment was set up in advance but you'd have to PM him to see if he still offers this service.
