Yeah, I saw it... The special effects were HORRIBLE. Seriously, they sucked *** terribly. However, good thing the movie didn't have may special effects.
Overall the movie was great... especially if you're religious or know stories from the bible... because this movie was straight up evil. Seriously. Without the intense moments and such, just the evil stuff they had alone sent shivers down my spine. Like when he first gets into the chuch and sees the crucifix... damn, some evil *** ****.
I recomened seeing it. (Be prepared for the terrible special effects!!!)

Naw, this isn't a remake of the original... its before the original.
But yeah... it has some really evil stuff in it. Nothing directly linked to Satan himself... but in a sort of indirect way. Its really cool... you should see it.

hmmm, i'll just wait until it goes on dvd so i can watch it during the day with all the lights on. those types of movies SERIOUSLY freak me out.
I thought the effects were ok except for the last scene, that was just goofy and not at all scary. You'll know which scene. But the movie was great I really thought it was well made and very scary and I've seen a lot of horror/thriller movies.
I hated it. I'm not impressed by movies that have to show gory scene after gory scene in order to scare you. It's like they don't give the viewer a break to relax, instead they just pile on the gory scenes so finally your brain is so overloaded that you can't take it anymore and you're scared. I was so annoyed with it that I almost walked out. I think that if they had implied more things rather than showing them that it would have added to the movie, but IMO, certain things just don't need to be shown. I felt like a worse person for watching it.

You thought it was gory? I didn't think it was very gory at all...

Yeah, but its a horror movie, what do you expect? I've seen much worse in movies such as Saving Private Ryan... etc.
You know... the swastika that the guy cut into his chest was backwards... you'd think an editor would catch a mistake like that!

the goryness didnt bother me so much as the fact that they show the little girl get shot in the head the kid get mutilated by hyenas. to me that was not necessary and I am not by any means overly, or really all that religious at all but I didnt like how the movie kept showing the crucifix upside down, that was very disturbing, but I can also see what the movie was trying to get at.
... and yes the end was something to laugh about.
