I'm curious why? And not in a "you retard" kind of way, I'm just wondering. If you just don't like the way the GT-R looks, that's a perfectly fine reason by me. Other than didn't we all buy Subaru WRX's at one point?

But aside from that it seems the GT-R is laying down the numbers quite well and being a Nissan, is likely to be FAR more reliable than anything from Chevy, Porsche and Audi.

For me, personally and as stupid as it might sound to some - I prefer to have 3 pedals. Nissan's DCT and the like is a really impressive piece to be sure, but I just don't care. Also, I have an extremely strong resistance to the direction cars are heading insofar as the driver not having to essentially know how to do anything. The GT-R is wicked and very capable, moreso in fact than a large percentage of it's future owners I am sure....

I would rather have the z06....I love Corvettes.... and I simply cant fathom the GTR being more fun than a new z06

Plus it is HUGE! I've never been a fan of big cars.....but in the end I guess I would have to test drive one....whos gonna lend me the keys

I know this wasnt directed at me but I feel the same way, I didnt buy my old bugeye wrx or STi for the looks but rather the awd and power to value ratio.

IMO the new GTR is fairly ugly and fat but if it were more fun to drive than a z06, I would have to have it....even thought the vette is way sexier.

Of the three i'd have bought a GT3 as well.

There is just something about prove your ability rather than the cars...

Just like how I'd rather have a McLaren F1 vs the Veyron... and I LOVED the way the drove Veyron!

I think for drivers, to know you have control, gives you more than just fast lap times.

indeed!

Honestly, with all the cars Ive been privileged enough to get a chance behind the wheel of, the one I always look forward to is my moms base model 02 mini. I always find an excuse to borrow it, but Im always grinning ear to ear in 116hp glory
theres 'fast' and theres 'fun', and the two dont always go hand in hand, miata owners will agree. I'm supposed to get a chance to drive a GTR this month, I really cant wait. Im sure it will be as mind blowing as whats been reported in all the mags, but I dont know if its going to be as much 'fun' or as satisfying as the mini. Or my old CRX.

Although the list is suspect as there is no RX-7 anywhere on there.
