Ever get your wheels stolen off your car?

In the Bay Area, have you ever got your wheels stolen off your car?

If so:

- where were you and what were the circumstances?
- what kind of wheels?
- did you have wheel locks on?

My friends bro had his wheels stolen from his del sol right in his driveway overnight. It was in a nice neighborhood in los altos, stock wheels, dunno about locks but he came out that morning to see his car on blocks.

my cousin did, wheel locks dont do ****, if you ever worked at a shop you know how easy it is to take anything off... but anyway, east san jose parked in front of the house...

btw, if you're wheels got stolen, check the dealer price per wheel, his stock 02's were like 570 or something each... so he easily replaced them with some volks fully covered by insurance.. haha

Yup.. it's so easy to buy a $6 "broken lug nut" remover. But they do hinder casual thieves... spline drives probably the same.

Brand new 05 WRX Sitting in my drive way. Car was less then 2 weeks old. Took the stockers and left me with some bricks.
No wheel locks. Supposedly a good neighborhood.
But they didn't put the bricks on the brake rotors which was cool i guess. haha

Oh and city of Elk Grove. (back before it went bad)

Haha, I had my Enkei RSV's stolen off of my '95 Accord EX in Elk Grove. No locks cuz I knew it wouldn't do anything except slow them down for five minutes.

OMG they stole 16 OEM wheels. Clearly, none of us are safe... except people running steelies year 'round.

locks dont do S. If they want them, they can get them.

I'm taking a trip down to UCSD La Jolla to visit teh GF...and i'm in the process of making a steel disc to surround my lug nuts with a cable/chain lock inside the wheel.

for oem wrx 05's i just bought. F theives, i dont give them a chance at my S*** (anymore)

La Jolla is a great rich beach town aka a great place for thieves to steal S***

People dont understand that a good neighborhood doesnt mean S*** when it comes to this kinda stuff. If you were a thief, would you steal your neighbors girly bike or a rich persons $5000 road bike when they go to bed at 9 PM? haha

a friend of mine had 2 locks on each wheel on his 77 celica back in high school. didn't understand at first, then i realize he must live in a not so cool neighborhood.
