ESX stage I is it worth it?
I have a 02 silver wagon, I logged on to Easysteetmotorsport.com the other day and saw their 10. sec "W" . I thought to myself "HEY" have you ever seen a 10.00 wagon? But is it really worth it? I'm not a complete dummy to go and spend 30 K on on my 25 K car, but 7,200$ for the stage one with 344hp installed and tuned is bad ..... is it? I just want to know if anyone has heard different about ESX?

Honestly that really depends on who makes the stage since sure you can slap all your own different parts on there and a Uni-chip, UTEC, ECU-TEK blah blah blah but these are ones that the makers have spent alot of time tuning for reliablilty and performance as well as driveability. Those are things that make them different. Also having the most horsepower output doesn't necessarily make it the better choice.
their 10 second time comes from many broken parts, and a lot of time spent at the strip. They also run NOS to spool the turbo, as anyone else who does to break from the 11s right now.
Rich, I simply believe that it would be in his best interest to come out to meets, and talk to people. Then he can get some in person advice from many people. If ESX stage 1 looks like what he wants, they he should go for it. But personal tesimonials and the such are key.

Hello everyone, Ali here from Easy Street. I just saw this post.
Maybe I could help with some input. First of all every company has different policies and the one to choose is the one best suited for you. Currently there are many different combos offered out there. When we first had our stage I thru IV set ups it was back in May 2001. At that time there was no other 12 sec. 1/4 mile package available, and I believe we were the first in our area to offer such a package, especially thru Subaru dealers, but since then there have been many packages that have been created that do what ours does. That is why we pushed the envelope further, created greater performance, and made if available for purchase. We have partnered with Super-Tuners Tony Rigoli Performance and are very proud of our partnership. With the two companies joining forces we have been able to offer the awesome ESX500hp, and ESX740hp set ups. As many of you know, and for those who don't, the ESX500 has high 10 sec capabilities and the ESX740 has just ran into the 9's.
The availability and popularity of the WRX has made a huge impact on the parts market. There are a lot of vendors out there with alot of parts available. Pick and choose the best set up for yourself, speak with others, drive demo cars with packages on them, don't just go on words alone, everyone and I mean everyone has a dyno chart and bench races. The truth is on real tracks and real streets, do whatever it takes to make the best decision.
I am not a big fan of defending ESX on the forums but I feel I should quickly clarify a few things since the new I-club has been great lately and not slanderous; Having the worlds greatest Subaru engine builders products available in the U.S. I feel is a great addition for all in the U.S. And also, having them come here a couple times a year and race with us, I think is an even greater treat for all. I do not see how this is negative to anyone in anyway.
Also, if you have dealt with Easy Street directly you will see that "Shady"
is not anyway we do business. We strive to keep all of our customers happy.
Enough said about that, I hope that if anyone has any questions, that they could please contact us and we'd be more than happy to accomodate. We also can build any combo you desire, not just the packages available. The best way to contact us is by phone 818.763.7892, email might take longer for a response, but there will be a response. Also my apologies for not being able to respond to posts quickly sometimes since we are so busy.
Hope to see some of you in Las Vegas March15, for the NHRA season opener, we should be racing there with the 9 sec esx/wrx, and the new ESX500 Baja. There will be at least 2 Rigoli bros. in attendance as well.
Thanks
Ali

Honestly? I think Easy street is at least as good as anyone else and you can get a Rigolli motor if you want (and have the cash).
I like Shiv mostly because he is local
and has an AWD dyno to do fine tuning.
Good Luck!
PS - no I don't think the ESX prices are outrageous but they aren't cheap either but that's what you get when you buy a 'kit' it's complete with no user messing around.

Easy Street Is a grate Company and they do take care of their clients and that is what every one is at easy street because when you do business with them you get a feeling that your safe in their hands because they know what they are doing. Also people who say they are over priced they are only rotten by the sweets that other tuners give because they need a good way to sell. In other world EasyStreet means Quality and Over All Power you get what you Pay for!!

Oh BTW, I'd like to see ESX build a 600+WHP WRX like JUN Auto Mechanic's, WITHOUT the use of Nitrous. Only then will I actually be impressed with their cars.
I'd rather build my own setup using the best JDM parts available. I do not believe in buying a "staged" kit.

Oh please, that JUN 600hp WRX was built to race 3 laps at Tsukuba and to break a record, thats it! That car was retired after that record. I don't even think the motor made it through the entire pass.
600hp for 3-4 minutes of engine life! Is that worth it to you Gixxer1000???
I think Easy Street is a great tuner, and I would recommend them to anyone that wants to go fast reliably!
