I'm sure that it's merely coincidence, and not intentional that you all of the sudden chose to do this on the same weekend that LIC Motorsports is having their announced "Grand Re-Opening" party, right?

You wouldn't possibly do something underhanded and backstabbing like that to a couple of guys who have helped you come along as far as you are, now would you?

Best of luck to you, Ed.

No need to start drama where there is none Greg.

There's nothing "all of a sudden" about our choice of date. We've been working hard to get the shop open and finally got a date we can commit to. I'm on my honeymoon from Nov 5th-19th, then there's the 22nd-23rd weekend and then we're into Thanksgiving. So obviously, the 22nd-23rd is the only weekend that makes sense for our schedule.

When we planned for the 22nd I had no idea LIC was thinking about the same weekend for their opening . There was no announcement anywhere, no one told me anything about it, and I'm not psychic, so why would I be expected to know anything about it?

I will say this; after I mentioned the 22nd to a few people, someone did tell me that LIC may be having their party on the same weekend. Since I consider the LIC guys good friends, I talked to Noah about the situation well before posting my official announcement and date. Together we decided that this is the only weekend that makes sense for both of us, and there would be no hard feelings either way. I even went as far as offering LIC first choice of days (saturday or sunday) and I would take whichever day they didn't choose. This way people could go to both openings if they want to and make it a full Subie weekend!

So again, please don't assume the worst and start drama just for the hell of it. Maybe try talking to the people involved before posting such remarks? I'm the one trying to make this work and make it fair without hurting feelings. AFAIK no one asked us if LIC's grand opening would conflict with ours before setting a date...

Thanks

Bump for a crap load of painting today! My landlord and I have put nearly 50 gallons of paint and primer on the walls altogether and we still have some stuff to finish up.

i dont think LIC motorsports had a set day or a set weekend to re-grand Open ( i may have missed it, didnt hear or see anything posted ) i talked to ED 2 - 3 weeks back, and he told me was planning on having this EQ Tuning Grand Opening this November 22nd or that same weekend Due to his schedule,

whats wrong with having event on the same weekend? i highly doubt both will have the same day Opening event,

free BBQ saturday and free BBQ on sunday? i see that as win win i guess you dont like free food

Adam you have put a ridiculous amount of time and effort into this for sure! Don't worry, the event is on the 22nd... I definitely can't have you quitting . There's really no choice for us either way... Its either the 22nd or we have to push it into December, simple as that.
