We are very excited and proud to welcome the newest member of EQ Tuning!
Chris comes to us with 10 years of experience in automotive performance and professional racing. Here are some of main points of his career up to now:
- Crew Chief for Tri-Point Engineering. Here Chris and his team achieved 1st and 2nd place in the Driver's Chamionship, Crew of the Year Award, Rookie of the Year Award, Mazda's first Manufacturer's Championship in World Touring Car Challenge, and were very proud to have ZERO mechanical failures in 2007.
- Crew Chief for OPM Autosports. Here Chris and his team achieved Top placing Mazda in Speed World Challenge Touring Car two years running, Multiple regional championships in endurance and sprint racing, and ARRC wins in ITA and ITB.
Throughout his career, Chris took a great interest in suspension fabrication and tuning. He is trained in rebuilding Koni shocks and running a shock dyno and is very adept at setting up and tuning suspension components to the driver's style and overall track performance. Chris also has experience with fabrication... he has built a custom Koni based coilover setup for a Subaru as well as a custom cage.
At EQ Tuning, Chris will be taking over many general manager duties as well as product R&D and general mechanical work in his spare time. While Chris did not have much prior Subaru specific experience, he is a very quick study and has been picking up the platform and its nuances very quickly over the past week here. His suspension experience and knowledge will really help out our skill set. And as many of you know, we were in dire need of extra help around the shop to keep up with the amazing, growing demand the community has bestowed upon us. We thank you all for giving us the opportunity to expand our company with this kind of talent!
FYI, We now have two Chris's working here, so don't get confused. As of now Chris Degioanni will be known as ChrisD
.
Thanks
-- Ed
