There really isnt anywhere around Fairfield to do this. If you want to do it...go out near the outskirts of woodland/davis/dixon where there's absolutely no one and if you crash and die it will only be yourself and not innocent folks. I know road tuning can be a little more "real time" but sometimes its not worth it unless you're in a controlled enviroment. Go find a dyno.
Just use the damn freeway - all the top tuners in Japan just use the freeway to roadtune.
And I know one tuner who comes to America to tune, just uses 280 when there's no traffic at night.
Of course, japanese people are crazy.

You're totally right. The OP needs to get himself over to a quality dyno at a place like http://www.ss-ms.com/
I don't understand why some people are against road tuning (especially on a car forum). Real world dynamics are better than a road simulating dyno. Its not street racing and it doesn't happen in school zones, residential areas or with lots of other cars on the road (or at least it definitely shouldn't). Its done in the middle of nowhere on a flat, straight road. If another car comes by, simply use the brakes to slow down. And if the concept of speeding down a quiet, straight, flat road intimidates you - you really shouldn't be driving a sports car and I would question if you have the skills to possess a drivers license (not being an *** here, just honest).
And to address the "speeding is breaking the law" argument - Yes it is illegal to speed. If you don't like to break the law don't mod your car, don't drive 80mph on the freeway, dont jaywalk, etc. If you break the rules be prepared for the consequences whether it be a ticket, car impounded, jail, or death. I'm by no means a rebel but I like to have fun and some laws will always be broken. Yes, the track is the ultimate place to speed and drive your modified car but not everyone has the disposable income or time to hit the track whenever they have the urge to put the pedal to the metal.

Public roads are not made for drag racing, especially roads in the farm country.
Have you ever seen the remnants of a car vs bovine crash?
I live in the country and don't like ****** that speed around on the ****ty pavement that passes for a road.
Every weekend one of these ****** wads up his car in my area.
You don't want to use a dyno, fine.
Rent track time so if you do wad your car up, the person endangered is the driver/tuner.
BTW, I seem to remember someone wadding up his car out on a country road used for road tuning.
