From my experience of the few I've seen, it always turned out to be the torque converter turbine speed sensor that I ended up replacing. A quick check from Subaru service manual says to place car in drive or neutral, then check to see if engine rpm displayed on tachometer is the same as engine rpm being read by a Subaru Select Monitor, or you can use a cobb accessport to see engine rpm. if the rpms differ, then it says to replace torque converter turbine speed sensor. Good luck

Thanks - I should be able to test this on the Torque I'm guessing or do I need the SSM? Seems odd that this type of problem would cause a 0741 torque convert STUCK OFF error.

Hey guys - I'm down here at AutoHQ and Kevin is telling me there is a secret way to reset the ECU when the engine is cold. Is this true? I hadn't heard of this before - trying to correct a P0741 code.

This is the connector in question and you can see the broken pin inside of it
