Word, cats cause more CO2 and less of the other 'more harmfull' things...which may or may not be more harmful than the CO2 itself.
And I can say that I'm very sure that Hella is not in any way an environmentalist...he just has an unwaivering respect for the laws given to us by our government regardless of reason. Insults really aren't needed.

So since the world is screwed up, we might as well just continue w/ our war and nuke everything. Hell, everyone's gonna die anyway so we might as well all commit suicide.
Its not about EVERYONE stopping from driving their cars but its about the 1 extra car. If everyone followed the logic "Oh I'm the only one who's running catless...its ok, noone else is." Then we'd just end up with a bunch of catless drivers on the road causing a lot of pollution.
I'm running catless but hey, an extra cat doesn't hurt even if its just a high flow cat. (I'm thinking of getting a catted DP.) These are our daily drivers, not full track cars...you won't even feel that extra 8-10 hp from the catless car so might as well do the world a favor....
**SORRY. I'm just ranting.**

Seriously, there are plenty of other ways to get power without losing all your cats. I'm running only one high flow on the dp and I can tell you, it's night and day between my friend's catless and mine. I'm only pushing 250awhp but is it worth having that extra stank for an extra 2-3 awhp? Whether the world is screwed or not doesn't mean you have to aid the process.

whatever, I run my street car with cats. it's a small sacrifice. I don't go out of my way to deliberately crucify the people who run catless. they take a risk and if they get caught I don't have much sympathy for them.
I wish the SCCA required catalytic converters on its race cars, I feel like I am going to pass out on pregrid because of all the fumes. that would never work and it would never happen b/c people would gut them and find other ways around them to make more power, but in an ideal world, everyone would use a functioning cat... even playing field... and less environmental impact. I'll keep dreaming...

Even if cats don't help the environment (which I find hard to beleive), they do keep your exhaust quiet and smelling like roses so I look at my cat as cop repellent.

Hybrids are a rip-off, I know people with the Prius and people with the civic Hybrid and they both get no-where near the claimed mpg....
If you commute over the bridges it saves time, but their fuel economy is a scam.

I just dont get how some scientists measure the weather for a hundred or so years then jump to the conclusion that WE are causing the global warming/polar ice caps to melt...WTF??
This earth has been around for sooooooooo long and has gone through many different changes. And the changes take THOUSANDS of years to happen. Arent we in an "ice age" right now?
Dont get me wrong, we do F up this planet with garbage and pollution which is bad for our health, but imo this whole global warming thing is a political ploy for the mostpart
my 2 cents
