I received this email today. It looks identical to an official Ebay email! I buy and sell stuff on Ebay pretty often so I thought it was a question from a buyer. I even clicked on the "Respond" but thank goodness for Yahoo mail - it told me that the URL is not in a standard format.

I looked closer and the link is to some IP address formated to look like it's a ebay link but not the ebay domain. Be careful out there! These guys are getting really good at phishing! Go to Ebay and log in to check messages, don't trust emails!

 

I got a similar email yesterday as well. Looked legit but the message i had was a little different than what you got. ............

Usually I can tell they are fakes but what got me was that I was awaiting payment on a Ebay item so when I got that e-mail I thought it was the bidder looking to pay.

All the links on the page point to the same URL. Also, they are labeled ebay.co.uk... i don't think any of us buys/sells in the UK.
