EBAY help

So I bought some 04-05 tail lights for my car and put my 07s on ebay. Some guy bought them and I sent them to him and now he is saying they aren't in the condition my ebay site said they were in which is way wrong because they were in exllent condition. They were on my car for only 6 months and I haven't been in an accident or anything. He hasn't even told me what was wrong with them but he filed a claim and all that fun stuff. I feel like maybe he damaged them while trying to put them on and is mad and trying to get his money back or something. Is there anything I can do or do I have to wait and see what paypal does with the claim? I am pissed because I made sure those things didn't move at all while in the box and the guy was like "I see you bought some tail lights off ebay, now I know why!!!". When I sent them I swear they were perfect! What can I do?

Make sure you have no funds in your paypal account and maybe close it?

As long as you have proof (pictures of it in excellent condition), I don't really think he can do much.

Dates imprinted on the file? There's software that has that info on what camera you used and what time and date you took them. Better hope the time and date on your camera were set correctly. That's your only alibi.

O.K.
I thought something was funny from the get go on these tail lights. I have received your tail lights but not in the condition your Ebay site claims there in. I've noticed you purchased some other tail lights on Ebay in the past.
HUH !! I Wonder Why??? We can play games about this and I can take this to next level with Ebay and Paypal OR we can take the easy route and you can refund me the $210.00 through Paypal Plus My Additional Shipping Expenses to return your tail lights. The Choice Is Yours!!

You Have Until Friday The 27th.
Let me know what you decide!!
No more games !!

this is the email he sent me...it pissed me off even more

Ummm.... seriously!?

If you sent them you wouldn't have them.

But he might be trying to scam you by having the money refunded. If u have the pictures, fight it out.

I just meant how do I prove that they were taken right before I sent them and not like two months before I sent them and that they were sent the way they were shown in the picture. Don't worry...I'm not as dumb as you made is seem but thanks though....

exif data is based on the camera's info. so if the camera's date and time were bad, so will the exif data.

now, if you had a gps attached to it, the exif will be pulled from the gps...

i'd send this dude a 'kind' email informing him that you took pictures before sending the tail lights (in excellent condition). then request pics from his side...
did he have shipping insurance? if not thats his fault for not shelling out the extra cash..
your not in the wrong here bro, this fools trying to scam you.
tell you what... grab his IP address out of the header in the email he sent you, and i can make this fool dissappear
peace
