East Bay dealers making deals!!
I don't know if something is in the water, but Diablo subaru and Capitol Subaru are selling STI's about $500 over invoice. Capitol gave me an offer for a White one on their lot for $200 under invoice. Might be high time to get a deal!
Also I have ambassador coupons.

They're probably adding $500 because they know ambassador coupons are knocking that $500 off lol. Plus Subarus are selling extremely well right now.
The $500 coupon is a rebate that subaru pays back to the dealer. So I doubt it. It's more for the salesman to get a reasonable commission I think. Honestly I am only paying about $100 more than shipping from Heuberger so I think it's a good deal.
'16s are longggg gone. Those ended in June. Also end of the year sales are really only in december. I think it's interesting I've read a lot of people having horrible luck out here then ordering from heuberger. But I was able to match heuberger's price. Very interesting.
Subaru enacted a rule in July that made it very unattractive for dealers to sell outside of a 200 mile radius. Heuberger is the main reason for this.. Basically you can sell outside of your market, but you may not get that allocation replaced.
That's my understanding of it, anyway.
The dealers may also be trying to make monthly goals, or they have a lot incoming.

Early for deals, but not too far off and the wait time for some cars is still pretty long. Just met a lady who bought a Forester and she said the wait was over a month.
Did you happen to use an ambassador coupon when dealing with Heuberger? I'm getting a car from them soon and was wondering if it would work.
I'd assume so. Make sure he knows you have a coupon when it comes time to sign. Definite well before you sign the contract as well.
The whole key to getting a true good value deal on a car from a dealer. Don't talk to a sales person. Go right to the fleet guy, they don't make commission on how much they sell the car for, they make it on the volume they sell.
You should have seen the deal I got on my Ram.
and the TJ, and my camry...

I wasn't asking for a coupon, I was asking if they work if you order a car through Heuberger. The wording on the coupon sounded like the car needed to be on the lot, but I ended up having Heuberger order a car.
