From what I hear the carbon that is released in the end is comparable to that of 91 octane because you burn more of it, faster. I am still all for the corn juice. It's a great alternative fuel in my opinion, and who wouldn't like running 100+oct. for only $2.50-$2.70/gallon?

E85 is roughly 105 RM Octane as mentioned above, the other benefits are it's increased cooling charge capacity coupled with lower EGT's. We run this stuff in our race car and make the same power we did with Q16 with faster spool up and transient response as well as our EGT's now are nearly 200f lower.
