ooooo

dont do it on the downpipe, you might regret it and its easier to weld in a straight pipe into the midpipe than the downpipe.

depending on how it mounts you might not want to do it on midpipe. i broke 2 of my electronic cutouts by going over the smallest speed bumps and what not

whats the point of a cut out if its after the cats?
imo you should install the cutout before the cat..... unless your goal is to only make noise.

well he's putting it on a stock car so I'm assuming he wants it for the noise.

I put my old cutout right at the end of the midpipe and it made ALOT of noise, but awesome gains on top end.

Also by putting it in that location it pushes the fumes farther back, and you can get a little more ground clearance back there.

oh yea...this was with a Cobb catted downpipe.

Your valve will eventually leak. They all do.

^ looks like it might hit if you catch a speed bump. we installed a cutout on chriskabobbers car. he had a cobb catted downpipe also. We installed it on the downpipe BEFORE the cat. It took more work than putting it in the midpipe, but made better sense to put it on the downpipe. And he never has to worry about clearance.

i dont understand why they have to make the cutout round on the end if nothing connects to it...cant they make it a flat boxed tip like those ugly domestic tips that muscle cars have? no one would see it lol.
