Dyno results // Need 3rd cat eliminator please!!!
If any of you local guys have a 3rd cat eliminator or know where to get one from please respond. I made 260AWHP and 250AWTQ with my stage 4 setup. The HP #s seem very low for my setup and I think it's because I still have my stock 3rd cat in my car and the cat could be melted in the piping. Here are my performance mods, what do you guys think? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
VF34
EcuTek road/dyno tuned by I-speed (running 18 PSI)
2.5" bosal DP
STi up-pipe
2.5" Stromung cat-back
APS TMIC
Walbro fuel pump
STi injectors
Spark plugs
K&N filter
Thanks,
Amir,

Keep in mind there is a +/- to dyno readings. They are not 100% accurate. If you do something else to you car, just make sure you use the same dyno under as close of conditions as the first one as you can. It is good to have a baseline, if you can. Dyno the car stock and then afterwards. The change in power will be more accurate then what your actual HP and TQ are.

I use the same dyno everytime I mod my car, but 260WH is low for my setup. I've seen people make 295WH with the same setup minus my 3rd cat.

don't get me wrong man, I love my REX but, I just can't stand it when the dealer tells me it's normal for my car to squeaks and make annoying rattling sounds.
I’m gonna get a mid-pipe to see if it helps. Thanks,

Amir,
Get the eliminator pipe.
Also, note that your TQ ratings are high, because of the 2.5" piping, yet, your HP numbers are lower. If you ran catless, and 3" you'd probably be looking at 270/275 for HP and still peak out the TQ at near 240.
But honestly, how does that car drive? Peak numbers are peak numbers, but i have a feeling your car is a lot faster than that...

I replied in your thread on Nasioc but did not see the numbers you were basing your dissapointment on in that thread, from what we have seen the only time a stage 4 car setup like yours has hit 295whp at ATP's dyno was either on decent gas or running lean and detonating (I actually did this with a car and backed it off to 280whp).
295whp on a dynopack would be reasonable.
Can you post your dyno sheets I would be interested to see the torque curve with your setup seeing as you are using 2.5" piping as well as the AFR.

Before I got the turbo kit, I was making 230AWHP and 230AWTQ w/ 2.5" turbo back (stock 3rd cat), STi up-pipe, EcuTek reflash, and Samco IC hoses. Then I went and bought:
VF34
Injectors
Fuel pump
APS TMIC
Spark plugs
Now, I only make 30 more hp. I don't think it was worth it for 30HP. That's just me though, other people may have different opinions on this.
