Well, all signs point to failed ringland in #2.
And there are a few reasons why I took it back to Mert
A: He's my go-to guy.
B: I live about 10 mins away from him.
C: He was done more work to my car than anyone else combined.
D: Tyler was a badass and let me use his AAA

Nothing against Paul at all, and I told him exactly what I said here. Paul was absolutely fine with it.
Having a car at a shop 2 hours away can be a major hassle.

Sucks to hear good luck with the rebuild

And thank you for a sensible answer and not an overbear-ing one

UEL aren't worth the time, money, or effort to install.
EL headers or nothing.

But yeah. 150 would be a nice goal. Removing all the cats and tuning might get me there. The questions is UEL or EL? EL will net more gains, but the UEL will sound cool. If I'm in there, might as well make it sound cool right?

When it it comes to cars, stick with wht/where/who you are comfortable with doing the work. If that's me...great. If it is mert...great!
Build a relationship that will last for a while, if not a lifetime.

Nope, I said what I said and I mean it. I would rather hear my subaru sound like a subaru, than like a lawn mower with a kazoo shoved up its *** (like every honda I have ever heard, and quite a few subaru with 'EL' headers)
