I think he got his smoke bomb and his plastic explosive mixed up. Luckily we didn't have to clean up Pauls dyno!

Kinda messed up that you guys were joking about taking pics of us installing those tow hooks and putting "planting the bomb" ... then it bombed... lol

Not trying to start any funk between shops or anything like that, but why not leave it at fw when it blew up?

Yeah I got that but I was more curious as to why he payed to tow it somewhere else when it was at a shop that does faster than average motor builds and does tunes as well

It's "why not fw" instead of "why (insert other shop)"

I guess its a weird question haha that's why I prefaced it with a "im not trying to start a x vs y shop debate" I was just curious

Seems like a fine question to me. I was wondering myself if it was staying at FW.
The answer is that he has had a lot of work done at RBMS and he trusts mert to do it right. Plus RBMS is close to his house...

Its not that there is anything wrong with FW, because we all know they do awesome work. Its just taking it back to the spot hes used to. Mert knows the history of the car...

Bull****, that is exactly what a post like that is trying to do. People have their own reasons for going to XYZ shop, why do you have to question it and start ****?

Curiosity killed the cat

no need to be a dick, but theres no point telling you that

I've never met mert or been to rmbs so there's nothing to talk **** about

I've spent over $10k at fw with nothing but great service so there's nothing to talk **** about

If you read past that you would have seen my other comment saying "why not fw" instead of "why other shop"

Thanks for a rational thought norcalbro

just pointing out what a dick move that post was is all. I half wanted to go to this, but with only 300 miles on the new clutch, I don't dare push it hard, I just don't have the funds to put ANOTHER new one in if I mess this one up.

Yes and no. It bots up to the engine... But that's it. I'd need to extend the O2 sensors and get a custom cat pipe. The stuff I'm looking at is made specifically to fit my car.
