Exclamation Durrrr... I have too much gas

I have to ship my RS tomorrow, and it must have less than half a tank of gas. It has 3/4 right now, so I have a problem. No time whatsoever to just drive it around. My pops says newer cars have anti-siphon gear in the filler neck, so before I go get some tubing and try to swallow gas, anyone have an idea?

why don't you just hand someone the keys for tonight. Drive about 100 miles and you'll be all good.

if not the drain plug, you can syphon from where the fuel pump goes in.

+1 on that. If you don't have a jack just rip out your trunk lining, unbolt the fuel pump and start sucking.

i wonder if just sitting there and revving the car and holding it at 5k would waste enough gas?

just keep the garage door closed and your windows rolled down.

Nah, HWY17 --> Bear Creek rd --> 35 --> 9 to home sorted me out. Took off around 1am and didn't see one other car. It was awesome to have a last romp thru the twisties. S-03's got a workout and oddly enough, my Check Engine light went off for the first time since February and has stayed off.

Thanks for the ideas - I asked because I wasn't sure I had time to drive with packing everything and all. They actually have to pump the fuel out so the gas gauge idea wouldn't work. It was pretty kickass to tear down roads I won't see for who knows how long. I will miss them.

My car collection is smaller than ever and on it's way across the Pacific. (check out that plate eh Reid.)
