I got reffed and sold an old BMW E30 and ignored the ticket. Ended up being a 1,200 ticket that I couldnt fight. Sucked.
As far as tint goes....
I searched Google for CA tint laws and 30% tint in the front is legal in California. Originally, I thought any tint in the front was illegal, guess not.
Was able to get 32% tint at the local tint spot, still illegal, ohh well, its close.

Don't ask me why I just read this whole thread, but if this happens to anyone else you should remind the cop throwing something at a car is not just a drunken prank: it is potentially a felony.
