Drunk driver, hit and run

[Doh! pictures!]

Some drunk or stoned, middle age fool at a stop light rolled his car backwards into mine. Honking appearantly doesn't catch his attention. After getting him to pull over with much convincing in the middle of 19th avenue, realizing his stupor I call 911... before the cops arrive he takes off! Cops took it down as a hit and run. Happend just a few feet south of 19th @ Pacheco in SF.

Glad I have uninsured motorist insurance. Hood still opens and closes and latches, but only because that bar over the radiator with the hood latch was pushed back too. Coulda been worse, but still sucky.

Lemme know if you've seen this guy: Red Toyota Rav4 , CA plates MUT070 (with the Socal-ish beach scene on the plates). Balding, light brown fluffy/curly-haired white guy, has marks on his forehead like someone took a hammer to him (like little indented half-circles). Kinda looks like Mark Knoppfler but chubbier (ok, now I'm showing my age

wheeee....

Good thing you got his license plate number. Hopefully, marks from the accident are on his car so his dumba$$ gets a hit and run on his record.

Two witnesses in the car, and a postal worker who saw it happen. I didn't get the postal workers info, but there's a P.O. right near Pacheco @ 19th so I prolly could find him there.

thanx for the well-wishing,

jason

Thumbs down

That sucks big time. Irresponsible drivers are one of the worse out there. Another reason why drinking and driving don't mix. Good thing you got his license number.

Heh, I was with another I-Club member at the time who's a bit younger than I and as this tool was driving away the I-Club guy motions to my car and says, "We should go after him" ... and and in my ancient wisdom I'm thinking, ah he's already toast (and toasted), we got his numbers. And then I turned to him and said, "When you're 18 and you punch some guy the judge slaps you on the wrist. When your 34, you spend a few nights in the pokey and get your *** sued". Sooooo not worth it. Although, personally living through an episode of The Street Of San Francisco would've ROCKED!
