About 7 years ago, i had my Bug Eye sedan tinted from Driving Edge in San Mateo. Hubert, if i remember his name correctly, did a great job for about $200. I roll by his shop today and the next door neighbor says he's no longer in business.
Has anyone had their windows tinted from Driving Edge or know the whereabouts of the owner? I called several times only to receive some ambiguous voice mail message.
Or better yet, can you recommend a good tint shop to do 7 windows on my 05 wagon?

a few blocks down from the starbucks on 17th and el camino. Probably the smallest tint shop in the world. It was practically a garage with a small office.

can't go wrong with Auto Image in Belmont! tell him you know Matt with the wrx and he will give you a good deal
Second Omega Tintwerks, Vince did the tint and clear bra on my car.. both came out perfect and I'd definitely send a second car there in the future. The i-Club discount doesn't hurt either

Don't go to Best Image in San Mateo. I got my car tinted there a year ago. They got carpet fibers stuck between the film and glass on two of the door windows and multiple air gaps on the defroster lines. I took the car back to have the problem windows retinted. But they creased the film before installing it on my front driver side door. I took the car back a third time and had them fix it. Now it's a year later and I have air gaps on the defroster lines again.
The owner Frank is a nice/understanding guy but his employees don't have the skills to do the job correctly, the first, second, or third time! Plus they left a messy residue on my door cards.
I'm going to get the car redone at either Omega Tint Werks Pleasanton or Rocky Mountain Window Tint in Livermore.

When I went there last year, he had three guys working for him. A kid, maybe 20 years old and two guys in their 40s, the first was tall and thin and the second was short and pudgy. All were of Hispanic/Latino descent. There was a tow truck driver (tall white guy) who occasionally answered his business phone.

Omega FTW! Vince has done two of my cars and at least 5 or 6 of people that I've recommended. Never once had a problem with any of his tint jobs.
