I really don't want this to happen

The only thing i'd love to see is the look on some of your faces as they pull your number

Includes women too? On that note I really, REALLY don't want it to happen for many reasons.

I think it's media hype to get those to enlist for cush jobs now.

Who knows though... i still might have IRR to AR/Active orders in print on in the mail.

This is partially a hoax and it's been going around for about 6 months. A buddy of mine (ret. SF CSM) dug into this and determined they aren't actually spending more than they have spent per year over the last 25 years or so. I will try to find his post and repost here so you can see for yourselves.
I gotta admit that I enjoy it because it helps us " weed out all nonhackers who do not pack the gear", but I don't want you guys getting your panties all bunched up for no good reason.

ppl in my classes have dug up and read through those bills, and essentially if they pass all they are going to do is give the president whoever that may be, the option to initiate a draft, that website portrays it as the draft will occur the second it passes.

damn liberal webpages

They have been trying to do this for years. It seems every year there is always some congressman from some bum f**k area trying to re-instate the draft. Won't happen. Free country.

My friends and I were talking about the draft the other day. First off, it won't happen. My friend is about 6'4 and weighs over 300lbs and thinks if theres a draft that they won't want him because hes fat. I told them that they would send him into fat camp until he lost all the weight. If for some reason they have the draft, the best way to not get drafted would be go to school. Anyone in school gets a deferment. Oh, by the way, the age is 18-26.

is this supposed to be funny?

Most of the people on my teams had Bachelors and Masters degrees. 2 of them had Ph.D's and wanted to do some cool **** before they got too old.

I guess the Army thought I was pretty smart too because they put me in charge of 9 of them when i was 3-7 years younger than ALL of them. None of them were the "YEEEE HAWWWWW" types and ALL of them passed DLPT's in Arabic, Yiddish, Spanish etc. with flying colors. They came out of schools saying that what they've acomplished in a uniform surpassed anything they had done in the civilian world so keep your ignorant comments to yourself unless you've been there and done that, Mmmmkay.

BTW: FUNKED1. your Sergeant Major friend matches my buddies pipeline database as operational.
